Poverty is endemic in the Southern United States. The region is home to the greatest income inequality, with women and girls, especially women and girls of color, the most impacted by the debilitating effects of poverty.
Your contribution will strengthen Turn South: Southern Women for Change efforts to support women and girls in rural areas as leaders combating poverty right where it is happening, in their local communities. Your contribution will help to ensure their voices are heard and amplified – that they with supporters and allies can turn the South around, and move the South forward.
